Carol C. McMullen

Carol C. McMullen is the senior executive responsible for the investment management, private banking and trust services provided by Eastern Bank.

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Eastern in 2002, Ms. McMullen was the global head of sales for the Investment Management Group at Thomson Financial, where she integrated previously independent sales organizations into a cohesive team and was instrumental in developing its buy-side product strategy.

From 1995 to 2000, Ms. McMullen was a senior executive at Putnam Investments, where she held several key positions, including chief investment officer, Core Growth Equities; and chief investment officer, Global Growth Equities. In 1998, she was named head of Global Investment Research, which gave her responsibility for the leadership and development of more than 100 analysts worldwide.

From 1985 to 1995, Ms. McMullen was a senior executive at Baring Asset Management, where she served as senior portfolio manager for Domestic Growth Equities, then as head of U.S. Equities and senior portfolio manager of Global Portfolios.

Education
Ms. McMullen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

She is active in the Greater Boston community, serving as a member of the Board of Directors of Partners Healthcare; Chair of the Boards of Trustees of Newton-Wellesley Hospital; Chair, Investment Committee of the First Parish Church in Weston; and member, Advisory Council of Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education.
