| John F. Doherty is vice president of Eastern Investment Advisors. He manages a number of client relationships, including individuals, families and organizations, helping them grow and protect their wealth through trusts, investment management accounts, IRAs and charitable accounts. |
Professional Experience
Mr. Doherty joined EIA in June 2006 after 20 years at Bank of America and its legacy banks, Fleet National Bank and BankBoston. Prior to joining Eastern, he was a vice president and relationship manager in the Private Bank at Bank of America, managing the trust, investment, banking and credit needs of high net worth individuals.
Education
Mr. Doherty earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Suffolk University and his MBA from Bentley College. He graduated from National Trust School in Chicago in 2001 earning his Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers. He also holds his NASD series 7 and 66 licenses.
Mr. Doherty is a member of the Board of Directors of the Melrose YMCA and is active in a number of youth activities in the city of Melrose.
