HomeConnect Enhanced Login Security

Protecting your personal information is important to Eastern Bank.  HomeConnect uses another layer of security when you login to better safeguard your account information.

Enhanced login security requires you to enter your User ID and Password on separate pages, which allows us to perform additional security checks and allows you to confirm that you are on the legitimate HomeConnect online banking site, and not some fraudulent website before you enter your Password.

How enhanced login security works

Go to easternbank.com, enter your User ID and click Login.

On the next page, you’ll enter your Password.

You’ll also see a security image and personal phrase that you selected.

Each time you login to HomeConnect, look for this security image and personal phrase – it’s our way of telling you that you are on the legitimate HomeConnect online banking site and that it’s safe to enter your password.

Setting up your enhanced login security is a one-time process that is quick and easy.

  1. Select your security image and personal phrase. You’ll select a picture from our catalog of images and assign a personal phrase to it.

  2. Confirmation questions.  We’ll ask you to answer four confirmation questions.  If you login from a computer that we don’t recognize, we’ll ask you to answer two of these confirmation questions.

  3. Registering a computer.  As the final step in setting up enhanced login security, we’ll register your computer so you don’t have to answer confirmation questions when you login to HomeConnect. If you prefer, you can elect not to register your computer.
