Eastern HomeConnect®
HomeConnect uses the highest level of encryption available today (128-bit). Encryption is a method of scrambling data so that it is unintelligible to anyone that may intercept it as it passes over the Internet. The encrypted data can only be unscrambled by the encryption software on Eastern Bank’s computer and the web browser on your computer.
You will need a browser with high-security 128-bit secure socket layer (SSL) encryption to access HomeConnect. For a more complete discussion of browser requirements, click "Browser Requirements" in the Learn More section at the top of this page.
Added Login Security with HomeConnect
In addition, HomeConnect offers an additional layer of login security that allows you to select a security image and personal phrase. Each time you login to HomeConnect, look for your security image and personal phrase it’s our way of telling you that you are on the legitimate HomeConnect online banking site and that it’s safe to enter your password. Intuit®Quicken® and Microsoft Money®
These two Personal Financial Management software packages support the highest level of encryption available today (128-bit). Encryption is a method of scrambling data so that it is unintelligible to anyone that may intercept it as it passes over the Internet. The encrypted data can only be unscrambled by the encryption software on Eastern Bank’s computer and the web browser on your computer.
Security Reminders
- Use a password that is hard to guess, so avoid using names, initials, or dates.
- Be sure to log out of these services when you are done. For added security, HomeConnect will automatically log you out after a period of inactivity.
- If you think that your password has been compromised, immediately change it.
