Friends of Tufts Library Receives $2,000 Donation from Eastern Bank Gift will help fund Librarys popular summer reading program WEYMOUTH, Mass., Aug. 8, 2003 Eastern Bank donated $2,000 to the Friends of the Tufts Library, which will use the money to help fund its summer reading program for youths, the bank announced today. The check was presented recently to Mayor David M. Madden and Margaret Haley, Vice President of the Friends of the Tufts Library. Representing Eastern Bank at the check presentation were Richard Testa, manager of its South Weymouth office, and Dana Childs of its government banking group. We enjoy being a part of the Weymouth community and we are proud to support the Tufts Library and its summer reading program, Testa said. This is the second program that Eastern has supported this summer in Weymouth. Eastern also sponsored the Weymouth Recreation and Eastern Bank 2003 Concerts and Movie Series, which began July 10 and concludes August 14.
