Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation begins accepting "Targeted Grant" applications for programs that "strengthen families"
BOSTON, January 12, 2016 – The Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation has begun accepting applications for grants that help “strengthen families” as part of its annual “Targeted Grants” program.
The Foundation is looking for nonprofits to submit proposals that fund programs or initiatives designed to assist families that are enduring a crisis and regaining their resiliency in areas that include, but are not limited to: chronic disease, counseling, grandparents raising children, military families, opiate addiction, physically and intellectually challenged family members, single parents, and undocumented families.
“Through this year’s ‘Targeted Grant’ program, we’ve committed to support organizations that compassionately address challenges families may face,” said Laura Kurzrok, Executive Director of the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation. “Sometimes, what’s needed is a little bit of tender loving care. In other cases, it requires significant intervention. Regardless of the issue or the family makeup, we are committed to making a difference for families in the communities we serve.”
Targeted Grants range from $10,000 to $50,000, with the majority of the awards granted in the $10,000 to $15,000 range. Grant applications are due by 5 p.m. on March 1, 2016.
