Cal Perez, CPM®, CSRIC®

Vice President, Eastern Bank Wealth Management

Cal Perez is responsible for managing client portfolios and providing wealth management services to individuals, families, foundations, and endowments. These relationships include trustee, investment management, retirement, and charitable accounts.

Professional Experience
Mr. Perez has over 25 years in the financial services industry.  Mr. Perez joined Eastern Wealth Management in April of 2022. Prior to joining Eastern Bank, Mr. Perez worked at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management a Senior Financial Advisor and Senior Portfolio Advisor. Mr. Perez has also had roles as a Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, and as a Socially Responsible Investment Strategist and Portfolio Management Associate at Eaton Vance Investment Counsel.  He started his investment career working at Deutsche Bank (formerly Scudder Investments) in 1997.

Education/Service
Mr. Perez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from Northeastern University. He studied Mechanical Engineering and Economics at MIT for three years.  Mr. Perez also holds a Certified Portfolio Management certification (CPM®), acquired through an intensive executive program at Columbia University. He is also a Chartered Socially Responsible Investment Counselor (CSRIC®).

Mr. Perez currently serves as an advisory board member at Big Brother Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts and as a director on The Academy of Certified Portfolio Managers Board.  He is a Corporate Trustee at the Trustees of the Reservations. He has also served as a board member at Bottom Line and as executive committee board member for Best Buddies International Hyannis Port Challenge.  He has run several Boston Marathons and chairs golfing events as ways to raise funds for various charities.
