How to Get Started Monday, July 15, 2024

Access Eastern Mobile Banking

1. Download the Eastern Mobile Banking app from the app store on your mobile device.

Get it on on Google Play

 

2. Login using your current Cambridge Trust username and password.

3. Complete a one-time authentication and accept the new terms & conditions.

4. Delete the Cambridge Trust mobile app as it will become inactive.

TIP: Remember to re-establish Face ID or Touch ID for secure, easy login on your mobile device. You can also set-up a 5-digit login passcode.

Access Eastern Online Banking 

1. Visit easternbank.com and under the ‘Accounts Login’ section use your current Cambridge Trust username and password.

 

 

2. Complete a one-time authentication and accept the new terms & conditions.

Once you are successfully signed in you can begin banking online. Please note, if you have accounts at both Eastern Bank and Cambridge Trust they will not be combined in Eastern Mobile & Online Banking®. If you would like to combine the accounts, please contact us on or after July 15, 2024.
 

How to Prepare

Important information and recommended action items

Alerts

  • On or after Monday, July 15, 2024 use Eastern Mobile & Online Banking to establish alerts.
  • For debit card alerts, please download SecurLOCK™ Equip mobile app.

Bill Pay

  • Bill payments scheduled for Friday, July 12, 2024, will be processed on Monday, July 15, 2024.
  • Be aware that all bill payments scheduled on or after July 15, 2024, will debit your checking account on your payment ‘Send-On’ date.
  • Print or download any bill pay reports you’ve created as these will no longer be supported.
  • Review your inactive payees and reactivate any that you wish to keep and use after the merger.
  • Please note that expedited payments in bill pay will not be available after the merger.

External Transfers

  • Take note of any transfers established between your external bank accounts, as you will need to set these up again on or after July 15, 2024.

Quicken®

All Cambridge Trust clients who use an Intuit product including Quicken® will be required to take action to ensure a successful transition to Eastern Bank.

BEFORE FRIDAY, JULY 12, 2024 prior to 4 PM

  • You will need to back up your data files and download final transaction reports. Please make sure to complete the final download before this date since transaction history might not be available after the upgrade.

ON OR AFTER MONDAY, JULY 15, 2024

  • You will complete the deactivate/reactivate of your online banking connection to ensure that you get your current Quicken or QuickBooks accounts set up with the new connection.

Important Action: Visit the conversion Intuit page for more information and instructions guides.
 

Statement and Notices

  • Print or download your past deposit and loan statements and any notices you’ve received electronically, as they will not be available online after the merger.
  • Loan eStatements and electronic notices will no longer be supported.

Transactions & Account Activity

  • Checking and Savings account transaction history will not be viewable until sometime in the week following completion of the merger.
  • Refer to the Quicken® conversion guides on easternbank.com/Intuit so that you can continue to export your account activity to your Quicken® software.
  • Transaction notes and categories that you’ve established will not transition.
  • Print or save any cleared check images, deposit tickets, and deposited item images, as these will not be available online after the merger.

Zelle®

  • As of Monday, July 15, 2024, you will enroll in and access Zelle through Eastern Mobile & Online Banking; the Zelle stand-alone app will no longer be supported.
 

What to Expect

BEFORE July 12, 2024

  • Take note of your current username and password.
  • Confirm that your contact information is up to date.
  • On July 11, 2024 at 4 PM ET, bill pay will become unavailable; bill payments scheduled to send on July 12, 2024 will be sent on Monday, July 15, 2024.

Friday, July 12, 2024

  • Cambridge Trust Online & Mobile Banking will become unavailable starting at 4 PM ET.
  • Bill pay will remain unavailable.

Saturday & Sunday, July 13 - 14, 2024

  • Cambridge Trust Online & Mobile Banking and bill pay will remain unavailable

Monday, July 15, 2024 at 9 AM ET

  • Visit easternbank.com to login and begin using Eastern Online Banking.
  • Download and begin to use the Eastern Bank NEW mobile app.

 

What will and will not transfer to Eastern Mobile & Online Banking®

Please review the following information carefully as some features will transition from your current Cambridge Trust online account while others will not.

What WILL Transfer
  • Your Cambridge Trust accounts, username and password
  • Active bill pay payees, scheduled payments, ebills, and payment history
  • Scheduled or recurring transfers between internal accounts
  • Checking and savings transaction history for the prior 13 months (this will be available to view sometime in the week following completion of the merger)
  • eStatement checking and savings account enrollment (if you are receiving both paper and electronic statements you will only receive paper going forward)
