Michael Uretsky promoted to Senior Vice President at Eastern Insurance

NATICK, August 9, 2007 – Eastern Insurance Group LLC announced today the promotion of Michael B. Uretsky to senior vice president in the employee benefits division.

“With more than 20 years of executive and employee benefits experience, Mike is a respected leader in the industry and a valued member of our team,” said Michael Ward, executive vice president of Eastern Benefits Group.

Uretsky was presented this year with Eastern Bank’s highest achievement award in sales, the Stanley Award, and has earned recognition as a Pinnacle level producer for his contribution to growth and sales achievement in each of the three years since joining Eastern Insurance in June 2004.

From 1999 to 2001, Uretsky served on the working group of the long-term care task force that advised the Massachusetts Division of Insurance prior to amending the state’s LTC insurance regulations. He also provided guidance to the state attorney general’s office on long-term care insurance suitability standards that were incorporated in the amendment.

In his community, Uretsky was the recipient of a congressional citation for community service in May 2002; the Jewish Family Service Award for 2001-2002; the Michael Steinberg Young Leadership Award in 1999; and is a past president of Temple Emanu-el in Marblehead, Mass. Currently, he serves as a board member of the Massachusetts Adoption Resources Agency in Boston. A graduate of Williams College and Noble and Greenough School, he lives in Marblehead with his wife, Jami, and children Madeline and Mitchell.
