Eastern Bank opens new branch in Hyannis
Opening celebration includes a program that gives back to customers and the community
BARNSTABLE, Mass., Aug. 10, 2009 – Eastern Bank opened a new, full-service office in Hyannis on July 27th, and today revealed a six-week banking promotion that gives back to both its customers and the Cape Cod community.
Customers who do not already have a checking account at the bank can visit any of Eastern Bank’s seven Cape Cod branches to open one, and use that new account with “Bill Pay” or a debit card to earn a cash reward. In addition, Eastern Bank will make a matching gift to a local charity. New business customers who open a checking account at the Eastern Bank Hyannis office get that account free for one year.
Eastern Bank is also conducting a sweepstakes at its seven Cape Cod branches for a chance to see everyone’s favorite professional football team in Foxboro. In addition, a $1,000 donation will be made to the sweepstakes winner’s favorite charity.
“We are very excited about celebrating the opening of our Hyannis office with a program that benefits our customers and charities in the Cape Cod community,” said Joe Riley, executive vice president of retail and business banking at Eastern Bank. “Expanding to Hyannis offers our new and existing customers another convenient location on the Cape with superior, personal service that they have come to expect from Eastern Bank.”
The Hyannis office, which is managed by Erica Papagno, is Eastern Bank’s second location in Barnstable and 83rd branch. The new office offers personal and business banking, mortgage, investment and insurance services all under one roof.
Conveniently located at 375 Iyannough Road (Rte. 28) in Hyannis, the office is situated in the largest hub of business on Cape Cod. Hyannis, referred to as the “Capital of the Cape,” is one of seven villages in Barnstable, the Cape’s largest town with a population of more than 47,000.
The Hyannis location features two ATMs (lobby and drive-through), safe deposit boxes and foreign currency (euro, pound, Canadian dollar). All other foreign currency can be ordered for customers.
The office hours are:
• Monday to Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (drive-through open until 4:30 p.m.)
• Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (drive-through open until 6 p.m.)
• Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
