We hope you will join us for our annual Celebration of Social Justice on November 2, 2020. Our 2020 event will be hosted virtually this year and will focus on honoring those working towards Racial Equity. We are proud to honor Robert Lewis, Jr., Founder and President of The BASE.

At Eastern Bank, we lend our support, voice, and actions toward a more just and equitable world. We’re committed to using our voice to advocate for civil rights, economic inclusion and mobility, justice, equity, and inclusion for everyone. This commitment is based on the simple idea that all people deserve an opportunity to prosper.

And this is what Robert Lewis. Jr. stands for, as well. Robert Lewis, Jr., has been a leader and advocate for racial equity throughout his career, from his recent work with The BASE, to his role with City Year as the former Executive Director and his pivotal contributions at The Boston Foundation where he led the Streetwise Program. In 2015, Boston Magazine named Robert as one of the city’s 50 Most Powerful Leaders, calling him a “tireless advocate for inner-city kids.”

The Celebration of Social Justice continues our longstanding tradition of recognizing the good in our communities. The annual Social Justice Award recognizes individuals and/or organizations that have achieved outstanding success in addressing critical social justice issues.
