In 2018, the Targeted Grant Focus of the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation was:
ADVANCING WOMEN
The Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation provided more than $2.3 million in grants to community-based organizations working for progress on issues addressing barriers faced by women and girls Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
The Grants were designated to support organizations addressing a range of issues that disproportionately impact women, such as sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, health care, pay equity, and senior management and board representation.
Similarly, in past years we have provided grants to community-based organizations working for progress on a specific issue or set of issues facing the communities within the Eastern Bank footprint. We have supported organizations addressing issues related to: Community Healthcare, Homelessness, Workforce Development, Student Success, Violence Prevention, Strengthening Families, and Supporting Immigrants in our Communities.
