Connecting Eastern Bank Accounts to Intuit® products including QuickBooks® & Quicken®

Important update: Effective July 31, 2026, Direct Connect will be discontinued for use and will no longer be supported by Eastern Bank.

Direct Connect is a long-standing connection method that many banks, including Eastern, are retiring as the industry moves to newer connection options. If you currently use Direct Connect, we encourage you to review the options below and plan ahead.

Currently initiate bill payments or transfers through Direct Connect

You will need to cancel these payments by no later than July 21 (we recommend as soon as possible) and re-establish them using an alternative method, such as:

• Eastern Bank online banking bill pay or transfers, accessible via Eastern Bank Online Banking systems.

• Proprietary Bill Pay or other services offered by QuickBooks® or Quicken®. Please note, separate fees may apply.

DO plan to reconnect your Eastern Bank accounts to Intuit software going forward

Please download any transaction history you may need and move to a supported Intuit connection option as soon as possible. Connection methods vary by software and may include (please note both require that you have Eastern Bank Online Banking):

• Express Web Connect: Automatically syncs transactions, is available to Quickbooks Online and Quicken users.

• Web Connect: Manual file download and upload option, is available to Quickbooks Desktop and Quicken users.

Do NOT plan to reconnect Intuit software to Eastern Bank accounts

Instructions for reconnecting Intuit to Eastern Bank accounts

Instructions must be performed exactly as described in the order presented for connectivity to function properly and should take 15-30 minutes. Please carefully review your downloaded transactions after completing the migration instructions to ensure no transactions were duplicated or missed on the register.

Select the conversion instruction guide for your Intuit software. Follow the steps to connect using a supported method. Please note: when re-connecting your bank feed in your Intuit® software, please search for and select one of the following options to connect to the correct Eastern online and mobile platform.
