When you enroll in direct deposit, your paychecks, Social Security payments, government and pension checks are directly deposited into your Eastern Bank account. And, because your checks are no longer printed or mailed, you may be able to access your funds faster.

Whether you’re setting up direct deposit for the first time or moving an existing direct deposit to your Eastern Bank account, just follow these simple steps:
Check with your employer’s payroll office to learn what they require to provide direct deposit. You can also complete our Direct Deposit Form and submit it to your employer.
Government Checks
The Treasury Department requires federal benefit payments to be made electronically by direct deposit. Sign up by going to GoDirect.org, a site sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Be prepared to provide your Eastern Bank account number and routing number (011301798) . You can also sign up by calling the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213.
