Getting Started

Mobile App: Login

Download the mobile app from either:

  • Google Play Store
  • Apple Store

When you open the app, simply login with your existing username and password.  If you have forgotten your username/password, click on Forgot Credentials.

 

 

One-time Password

You will be asked to select the destination for a one-time password. The options will be both the email address and mobile phone number you have on file.

The system will send you a one-time password that you will enter on the screen.

Then select Submit.


At this time, you can set up biometrics, Face or Touch ID. Then create your 5-digit passcode.

You will need to accept the Terms & Conditions for mobile banking. Simply click on the radio button that states:

“By checking this box, you confirm that you read and understand both agreements above and agree to be bound by its terms.”

Press the Continue button and you will be taken to the home screen.

Mobile App: Forgot Username/Password/Passcode
 

If you have forgotten any of your credentials, simply click on 'Forgot Credentials' from the login screen.


Forgot Username

If you have forgotten your username, click on the first >.

You will be asked for your email address, then you can click confirm the email address.

The system will automatically send your username to your email address for you to login with.


Forgot Password

If you have forgotten your password, click on the second >.

You will be asked to select the destination you would like the one-time password sent to. The options will be both the email address and mobile phone number you have on file.

The system will send you a one-time password that you will enter on the screen.

 


Once your identity has been verified, you can create a new password with the following criteria:

  • At least 8-30 characters 
  • Does not include spaces 
  • Include 3 of the following:
  • One uppercase letter
  • One lowercase letter
  • One number
  • One special character !@#$%^&*()
  • Cannot be one of your last 10 passwords

Once you have confirmed your password, you will see ‘Success!’ and you can click ‘Done.’


Forgot Passcode

If you have forgotten your passcode, click on the Login with Passcode and then click on ‘Forgot passcode?’.

Select Confirm.

You will then continue to the device registration process again in order to reset your passcode. (Refer to the Mobile App Login instructions.)

Mobile App: View Accounts & Transfers

 

When you first log in, you will see all account information. You will notice the menu of items on the bottom of the screen.

 

 

 

To select which accounts you would like to be displayed in your account overview, simply click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen. Select Edit Accounts, and then toggle off any account you don’t want displayed. When you are done, simply click on the < to go back to your account overview.

 

When you select ‘Move Money’ you will be able to ‘Make a transfer’, see ‘Scheduled transfers', go to ‘Bill Pay’, or ‘Send Money with Zelle’

 

 

 

Within ‘Make a transfer’, you can transfer between your Eastern Bank accounts or connected external accounts (adding external accounts can be done within online banking). Within ‘Scheduled transfers’, you can see a list of the scheduled transfers as well as your transfer history.

 

When you first log in, you will see all account information. You will notice the menu of items on the bottom of the screen.

 

 

There are two ways to get to the transfer screen:

  1. When you select ‘Move Money’ you will be able to ‘Make a transfer’
  2. You can also select the account you want to transfer from and click on Transfer

 

Within ‘Make a transfer’, you can transfer between your Eastern Bank accounts or your connected external accounts by filling out the information on the screen. To make a transfer between accounts, start by clicking the down arrow to select the account where you want the money to come from, and then the down arrow to select where the money will be transferred to. All available accounts will show in your list of accounts.

If you have any external accounts connected to send money to, you will see them under the ‘Connected accounts’ tab.

 

Enter the dollar amount of the transfer. If you click on ‘Continue to review’, the next screen to pop up will be the review screen for your transfer to happen immediately. Hit ‘Confirm and transfer’ and your transfer will be completed!

If you would like to schedule the transfer for a later date or set it as recurring, continue back on the prior screen to ‘When.’ Select Later or Recurring. If you choose ‘Later,’ you will be given the option of selecting a date in the calendar. You can also include a description of the payment up to 140 characters. Once again, you will click ‘Confirm and transfer’ and your transfer will be scheduled for the date you selected!

 

If you would like to set the transfer as recurring, continue back on the prior screen to ‘When.’ Select Recurring. You will be given the option of selecting the Frequency (Weekly, Biweekly, Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly). Next select the starting date.  For an ending date, you can select Never, On or After.

 

‘Never’ will stay in effect until you cancel it. ‘On’ will require you to select a date that you want it to end, and ‘After’ will continue for a certain number of occurrences.

You can also include a description of the payment up to 140 characters. Once again, you will click ‘Confirm and transfer’ and your transfer will be scheduled for the times you selected!

 

Within ‘Scheduled transfers, you can see a list of the scheduled transfers you have created as well as your transfer history.

Mobile App: Make a Deposit

When you first log in, you will see all account information. You will notice the menu of items on the bottom of the screen. Click on Make a Check Deposit to make a check deposit or see your deposit history. 

 

Once you click on Select an account, you will need to select the eligible account to deposit into. Enter the dollar amount of the check.

To take a picture of the check, simply click on Capture for the front. You may get a pop-up message to allow access to your camera for the picture.

 

Center the check on a dark surface. When the check comes into focus, the system will automatically capture the image for deposit.

The application may ask you to move closer or need more light so that you can get an accurate image. It will ask you to review the information.

 

Click on Continue to review and then deposit the check.

Your deposit is processing.

Hold on to your check for about 2 weeks.

You can also view the deposit in your Deposit History.

Mobile App: Loan Payments & Transfers


Available loan transactions are dependent on the loan type. To make a payment or take an advance, simply click on the loan account.

 

 


Within the account, you will see transaction options. Simply click on a button to complete the desired transaction.

 

You can enter the amount you want to pay and select 'Principal only' or 'Principal & interest'. Click on ‘Save amount’ and then ‘Continue to review.’ Once you review the transaction, click on ‘Confirm and transfer’ to complete the transfer.

 

To make an advance on the account, simply click on the ‘Loan advance’ button.

You will need to fill in where you want the funds to go and the amount. Then click on the ‘Continue to review’ button. You can review the transfer information and click on the ‘Confirm and transfer’ button. Your transfer is successful.

Online Banking: Login


You can find the login page at www.easternbank.com

Type in your username. 


Enter your password and click on ‘sign in.’

You will be prompted for a one-time passcode. Select which method you would like to receive the code. 


Enter the verification code you receive and click Confirm.

The first time you log in, you will be asked if you would like to trust the browser. 

If you are on a private computer, click Yes and you will not be asked to complete the two-step verification next time on this device. 

If you click No, you will be asked again next time you log in. You will then be logged in to your accounts.


Terms & Conditions

You will need to accept the Terms & Conditions for online banking. Simply click on the radio button that states:

By checking this box, you confirm that you read and understand both agreements above and agree to be bound by its terms.

Press the Continue button and you will see your accounts screen.

Online Banking: Forgot Username or Password


If you forgot your username or password, click on Having problems.

If you select Forgot username, you will be asked for your email address on file. 

Click on Confirm and the system will send you an email with your current username.


If you select Forgot password, you will be asked for your username.

You will then be asked to verify your account.

Next, you will receive a verification code to your email or mobile phone.


Enter the one-time verification code and click submit.

You will be asked to create your new password.

Note the password requirements. Enter your new password and click Continue.

You will be notified that your password has been reset.

Click on Login and you will be taken back to the login screen.

Online Banking: View Accounts & Transfers

 

Once you login, you will see your accounts and balances.

You can:

  • Hide or nickname your accounts by clicking on manage accounts.
  • Complete a quick transfer
  • Perform a few quick actions
    • Manage accounts
    • Pay a bill
    • View statements
    • Manage alerts
    • Find a branch or ATM

 

 

 

Across the top navigation bar, you will see:

Transfers

  • Make a Transfer
  • Send Money with Zelle
  • Activity (showing transfer activity)
  • Connected Accounts (Showing any external accounts attached to your online banking account)

 

 

 

To make a transfer to both internal and external accounts, simply fill out the information:

  • The account the money is coming from
  • The account the money is going to
  • The amount
  • Select the date you would like the transfer to occur
  • Set up the frequency
    • Once
    • Weekly
    • Bi-Weekly
    • Monthly
    • Quarterly
    • Annually

 

To make a quick transfer, simply fill out the ‘Quick transfer’ box on the top right of the home screen.

When you click on the first >, you can select from any of your accounts that are available to transfer from.

 

Next select the second >, to choose the account you would like to transfer to.

 

Next, enter the amount of the transfer and select Transfer now. Review the transfer and click Confirm transfer to submit. A Transfer successful message will appear!

 

Within Transfers - Activity, you can see scheduled account transfers as well as the history of activity. 

 

Within Transfers – Connected Accounts, you can see any external accounts you have connected. You can also connect an external account by clicking on the +Connect account button.

Simply fill in the account information and click Connect. It may take up to 3 business days to set up the external account as the system sends 2 small deposits to the external account. You will use these deposits to activate your account.

 

Click on the Connect button and the process to connect your account will start. Over the next few days, you will receive two very small deposits (which will be withdrawn shortly thereafter). Once you receive the deposits, you can return to your Eastern Bank Account to input the amounts and verify the account.

 

Once the two small deposits are seen in your connected account, go back to your Eastern Online Banking and go to your connected accounts. Click on “Activate” for the new connected account. Input the two small deposits and click on “Activate.” Your account is now ready to use within Transfers.

Online Banking: Bill Pay

Add a Recipient

From the My Accounts screen, you can easily access Bill Pay within the navigation bar at the top of the screen.

Bill Pay gives you the following options:

  • Paying a bill
  • Adding and viewing recipients
  • View your bill payment activity
  • Select your checking account for payment
  • Set your alert preferences
  • Customer Support contact information

Note for customers transitioning platforms: Your active payees will be transferred over.

 

 

On the first screen, you will see the payees you have set up. You can sort the list by Due Date, Scheduled Date or Bill Amount. If you have signed up for bills to come in electronically, they will be listed here as well.

You can pay a bill right from this screen by clicking on the recipient.

You can also easily add a recipient to your list by clicking on Add Recipient. You will get a pop-up to add the recipient’s name.


Once you enter the recipient, if the system has detail on the recipient, it can prefill information. If not, you will need to input more information.

Select Continue when you are done. You will then see the recipient listed.


A recipient can also be added from the Recipients screen.

By selecting the Payments button on this screen, you can view scheduled payments and payment history.

If you would like to add another to the list, simply click on Add Recipients in the upper left. You will get the same pop-up box that you received on the first screen.

If the recipient has information in the system, you will see the full name pop up. Simply click on the recipient and then click Continue.

 

 


You will need to add your account number, then click continue and you will be done.

If the recipient can set up an electronic bill, you can easily set it up at this point or skip this step.

Once you have successfully added the recipient and enrolled, you will receive a notification here.


Make a Payment

You can make a payment from the Pay screen (first tab). Simply click on the recipient you need to pay, and you will get the pop-up box to create the payment. You can get to this same pop-up from the Recipients screen (second tab).


You will enter:

  • The amount of the bill
  • Specific date it will be sent on
  • Which account the money will come from

And then click on Continue.


You will be asked to Verify the details of the payment before you click on Send Payment. If you return to the front screen of Bill Pay, you will see that the payment has been scheduled.

You can also sort this list by clicking the upward arrow next to: Due Date, Scheduled Date or Bill Amount.

Online Banking: Loan Payments & Transfers


To make a loan payment or advance, simply click on the specific loan account.

 

 


Select the button for the desired transaction.


Make a Payment

Fill in where the money will come from, the amount, schedule frequency, and date.

Click ‘Continue.’


You can then review the information and click ‘Confirm transfer'. Your transfer is successful!


To make an advance, simply click on the ‘Draw Amount’ button.

You will need to fill in where you want the funds to go, the amount and the date.

Then click on the ‘Continue’ button.

You can review the transfer information and click on the ‘Confirm transfer’ button. Your transfer will be scheduled.
