The Business Online Banking system, which includes Eastern Business Banking and Eastern Treasury, is available 24 x 7 except during maintenance periods. In order to access the system, you will need to have a browser that has 128-bit encryption and is a compatible version with the Business Online Banking product.
All transactions are processed during specific business hours as outlined below. Any transactions generated after cutoff are processed the next business day or on the day they have been scheduled.

ACH Transactions - including Eastern Business Banking payroll & tax payments
ACH transactions will be processed at 6:45 a.m., 8:45 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time. ACH transactions will be distributed by the effective date. To ensure transactions are processed timely, transactions should be sent two business days prior to the effective date. ACH transactions processed after 3:00 p.m. and effective dated for the next business day may be delayed due to credit review.
Book Transfers
Book transfers are processed real-time on business days up until 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Book transfer transactions may be entered on the weekend but will not be processed until the following business day. Book transfers can be scheduled to be processed up to 7 calendar days in advance.
Stop Payments and Loan Payment and Advances
Stop payments and loan payments and advances are processed real-time on business days between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Wire Transfers
Wire Transfer transactions are processed real-time on business days between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Wire transfers entered after 4:30 p.m. are considered next business day transactions.
Eastern Treasury Check and ACH Positive Pay
Check Positive Pay exception items will be available to view after 10:00 a.m. and the deadline for decisioning is 2:00 p.m ET. ACH Positive Pay exception items will be available to view after 8:00 a.m. and the deadline for decisioning is 8:00 p.m ET.
Eastern Treasury Check Issue Import Files via Positive Pay
Check Issue files are processed real-time on business days with a cut off of 11:00 p.m. ET.
Bank Holidays
Eastern Bank follows the Federal Reserve holiday schedule. Normal processing will resume on the next business day.
